Venice Design Week Jewelry Selection 2020
title: Watching the sunrise with my son in my hands
materials: copper, various patinas
Contemporary jewelry is a fascinating field that draws inspiration from classical jewelry. Relies on its rules but is not afraid to break them and try new techniques and new materials. There is a strong connection between past and present. As a fresh father I always try to teach my son the importance of the past and how much it influences the present, I learn more from him than I teach him. When we look at the sun rise every morning, I feel that the connection between us is getting stronger. The neck pieces in front of you are part of a very large series of objects that try to capture this specific moment.
