A. Yes you can choose to design any object, system or project that cannot be identified with specific categories. Eventually the categories will be established later by the jury that will visualize the projects. It is possible to suggest a category of your choice or define an “OTHER” category.
Q. Is it possible to get to know the objects more closely with a visit to the museum, perhaps guided?
A. If you wish to visit the museum to register for the competition, complete the form, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and surname and the day of the visit, we can make the request to the museum.
Q. The proposed object “must have an ideal or formal connection with a museum exhibit”: is it possible to explain the connection with a dynamic visual document (animation, video interview, auto-interview, filmed spot, etc.?)
A. Any visual expression useful for communicating the values of the project is allowed, be it static, such as images and / or text or dynamic (videos and more).
Q. Is there a weight or format limitation of the files to be sent?
A. Each project must not exceed the weight of 12Mb per file and be readable in the main computer formats (.doc .pdf, other …)
Q. Is it possible to attach 3D modeling files of the proposed object?
A. The 3D files processed with the modeling programs will be accepted only if saved as renderings in the jpg or video image formats, it is optional to send by .step and / or .igs formats.
Q. Is there an inauguration in the museum during the exhibition of the projects?
A. There will be an award ceremony followed by a drink within the Venice Design Week on a date to be defined.
Q. Is there a financial reward for winning projects?
A. No. The winning projects will enjoy the possibility of being advertised and communicated in the Venice Design Week’s channels; in the national and specialist press. For cash prizes we are trying to involve partner companies that offer prizes and / or paid internship experiences for students. We want to let you know that we cannot confirm that .
