Hotel Santa Chiara ****S overlooks the Canal Grande, the Train Station and Piazzale Roma (the only part of Venice reachable by car) and it’s also very close to the cruise terminal and few minutes by car from the Marco Polo airport. It is the only hotel in Venice with private parking (on request only). It’s few minutes walk from Piazza San Marco (and the water bus stops almost in front of the hotel).
It has just been renovated creating a perfect mix between a 500 years old monastery and a modern building! The two are attached together and are one big building even if from outside they looks two completely different thing. Also the furniture reflex this mix.
The breakfast room, the bar and the lobby overlook the Canal Grande! There is also have a rooftop terrace on the white section which is also overlooking the Canal Grande.
The area is full of attractions: Santa Croce is in the historical center, facing Chiesa degli Scalzi and Chiesa di San Simeon Piccolo. Hotel Palazzo Stern ****S

Hotel Palazzo Stern ****S  is a Moorish Palace facing the Canal Grande, once private house of an Art Collector: Ernesta Stern. It’s a real jewel in the heart of the city and it is cured in every detail. It has been completely restored and it’s full of pieces of arts.
Close enough to Piazza San Marco to be able to walk there in less than 10 minute but in an area which is very full of local life.  It has a beautiful unique terrace at the same level of the Canal Grande, the perfect venue to enjoy your breakfast or for a drink. And it’s a great venue weddings or for any other event! It has also a rooftop terrace with a hot tub, great to relax.
This is a very unique place and it’s very easy to reach: they have a private landing for the boats and the vaporetto stop is just beside the entrance (Ca’ Rezzonico).
