The albeo Series
The wood from which the metal was moulded originated from an old bridge in Upper Austria and shares its roots with the artist and designer. For the artist this is no coincidence. Once they have arrived at the Studio, the individually contoured surfaces are cast into metal plates of bronze, brass or aluminium and are further enhanced by hand. The moulded metal plates are lavishly refined and hand-finished by the designer herself. They are sanded, polished and patinated to produce a rich and unique finish. The overwhelming visual impression is of a surface that absolutely mirrors its wooden counterpart.
