Jewelry exhibition tour

Monday 8th October 2018 guided tour.

The first step of the tour is OHMYBLUE of Elena Rizzi, where we can find an innovative handmade jewelry collection. The gallery, which was opened 5 years ago, is a place where design can cohabitate in its different forms with the purpose to create a sense of beauty into everyone.

Elena Rizzi is a member of the Jewelry Selection committee 2018 with Maria Rosa Franzin of the Contemporary Jewelry Association (AGC), Anna Schetelich of OONA Galerie in Berlin, the design architect and professor at the Arts Accademy Roberto Zanon, the journalist and blogger Valeria Accornero, the owner of Ca’ Pisani Design Hotel Marianna Serandrei: their assignment was to choose between the jewels presented at the contest, considering harmony with the topic, aesthetic design and materials.

The “Venice Design Week Jewelry Selection 2018” is a jewelry exhibition which has been organised for 4 years and it  is included in the yearly international competition for designer from every part of the world. The fifth edition theme is “Oltre lo Sguardo” (beyond the view) – journey in the jewelry essence: the talent becomes structure and material. It inserts itself into the Venice Design Week theme “Material and Immaterial Design”.
The exhibition takes place from 6th to 28th of October in a characteristic place, Ca’ Pisani Design Hotel.

The designers selected to exhibit their jewelry are: Caterina Zanca, Chiara Lucato, Clizia Moradei, Elisabetta Carozzi, Francesca Antonello, Karin Heimberg (Germany), Karin Maisch (Germany), Kim Hayan (South Korea), Laura Forte, Ludovica Assini e Vincenzo De Luce, Renata Manganelli, Sanna Wallgren (Sweden), Valeria Rossini, Veronica Meruzzi.

The next step is at the Magazzino Gallery, at Palazzo Polignac, with Valeria Accornero, a specialized journalist in jewelry, who will show us the exhibition “Intersezioni” with the artist and designer Stefania Lucchetta. It’s the first time that this exhibition is shown in Venice, it is focused on necklaces and rings with a harmonious architectural structure that includes a dialogue with light, shadow, contrast and colourful reflections. The exhibition is about research and innovation in the intersections of the jewelry world with design, architecture and art.

It is possible to book in advance in RSVP on Eventbrite or send an email the guided group tour that will take place between 6th and 14th October 2018. Individual visitors can follow the Jewelry Exhibition Tour using the Venice Design Week guide map.
