Concept: The water source of life

The aquamarine stone of 1 ct. symbolizes the water source that overflowing with its drops encrusted with 52 round brilliant cut diamonds in a pave setting for a total of 0.25 pt and 5 blue topaz for a total of 12 pt.

A man and a woman with animal faces, representing living beings, are located under the source and are its incorruptible guardians.
Silver is the metal that the artist has chosen for her micro-sculpture jewls, because silver, such as water, possesses a fascinating gloss and is also, compared to other precious metals, more accessible to all.
The accessibility becomes the link between the two elements “silver metal and water” to outline how important and desirable it is that men dedicate themselves to ensure that all animal and plant species have access to water to preserve and nurture our planet.

Maria Luisa Palazzo has been selected to exhibit her jewel during the exhibition “ORNAMENTA second edition. Jewels between history and design”  during winter 2018 – 2019 at the Museo Archeologico Nazionale of Adria
