ART LIGHT COLORS 2020 – SELECTED BY THE JURY
Michele Dalmonte’s project selected for the exhibition organized for the 2nd edition of the international contest Art Light Colors is Rubaluce lamp.
The lamp, in its simplicity and clean line, recalls in a subtle way some traditional components of Venetian history. For example, the fabric panel can be made in a transparent way on both sides, or alternatively one of the two sides can be covered with damask fabrics or double thickness velvets, typical of the venetian tradition. Or, the main component of the lamp, an adjustable steel bar, reminds a music lectern which leads right to La Fenice theater. The designer’s choices were made in order to increase the emotional component that uses light as the maximum instrument of diffusion.
