Overlooking the Grand Canal, palazzo Nani Bernardo was built in the ‘500s by the Bernardo family.
After the construction of Ca’ Rezzonico, situated right after Palazzo Nani Bernardo, the owners decided to move the principal entrance from the side to the Grand Canal.
Following this event, about two centuries ago the garden of the palace was born as an Italian style garden and until today remains as one of the less known and yet most particular gardens in Venice.
