Renata Manganelli was born in Italy. After many years in London, she recently has moved to Turin where she lives and works. She worked in the theater world and was part of one of the greatest Italian companies, the Glauco Mauri Company. Venice Design Week Jewelry Selection 2019

jewel by

VDJ-1
Materials: resin, pla, magnets, and metal chain.

VDJ-1 is not only a jewel but it is, in its essence, firstly and foremost an object, velvety, light, bifrontal. A system of magnets, however, makes it wearable as a brooch or even as a necklace, on both sides indifferently.
Unique piece made by hand.

a-Q-a jewel
renata manganelli gioiello

“a-Q-a” necklace

The name reflects the molecular structure of water. The jewel, lost wax casted in silver, with the addition of a real sponge, comes with a “metascultura” in polyacetal that transforms the jewel into an object of art.
