Absorption is a transparent plexiglass collar disc of 36cm. The image printed on it is a digital shot, part of a sequence of 144 images, made in 2016. The work represents figuratively, the absorption of the motion of the calm waters of the lake the movement towards another body as a result of prolonged visual contact.
To this end, a performance has been produced which is in line with the work, which you can see at the following link vimeo.com.
When wearing the plexiglass disc, the performer was asked to interpret the absorption sensation resulting from the prolonged visualization of graphic images representing the calm motion of lake water. It was screened on the performer a video made with the sequence of 144 graphic images of water. Video editing in stopmotion was processed in incoming and outgoing following the steps of the Fibonacci sequence up to the number 144. The same procedure was used for timelapse realization.
