The 6th edition Venice Design Week is a week dedicated to art and design: offering designers, creative talents, companies, design schools, and many others the opportunity to present their design projects, prototypes, and products. Held in Venice, Italy since 2010, VDW has received years of support from Regione del Veneto and Città di Venezia.
Venice Design Week provides a detailed map and guided tours, giving the public the opportunity to connect with the real Venice: a city where style and design are immersed in a historic context inspiring creativity. VDW examines the relationship between art and design and provides 360° experience of the design world with focus on installations, conferences, studios, workshops, happy hours and other interesting events.
During the week’s events, the public will have the opportunity to network with international artisans and producers, creative talents, and other design enthusiasts. VDW aims at increasing awareness of the daily aspects of design, helping create new collaborations, and increasing visibility to both local and international talents.

10.00 am: Interactive textiles workshop at Fabbrica del Vedere (ferryboat Ca’ D’Oro, on Strada Nuova).
4.00 pm: Presentation of some wood lavoration techniques at Signor Blum, in Campo San Barnaba, for adults and kids.
5.00 pm: Meeting with the brands Butterflytwists and Rita Riccio at Dietrolangolo, Frari area.
Friday, 9th October 2015:
9 a.m: Day dedicated to 3D printing workshop by engineer Paolo Foletto maker.

9.00 am: Departure from Piazzale Roma for the guided visits at Lace Museum (Burano) and the house-museum Andrich (Torcello) related to the tour Arts and Manual Skills. In Andrich’s park there will be a buffet for lunch offered by the rural companies of “Alla Salute” association. RSVP
