The Danish designers William Ravn, Julien de Smedt and their partner Wouter Dons launched the new design brand “Makers With Agendas” in 2013. The idea of this project began with Julien de Smedt; the first collection includes a folding wooden trestle, a colored tea set, a wooden easel for displaying paintings and a butterfly-shaped coat hook usable also to hold keys or small accessories. The aim of their new project is a representation of humanitarian and natural disasters like tsunamis, earthquakes, civil wars or genocides to make meaningful products which have a connection with this research. “Makers With Agendas” has already shown its products at the “Maison & Objet” in Paris in 2013, then again at the “Design September” in Brussels and finally in New York at the “New Museum Store”.
