Under the guide of the craftsman Marisa Convento, it will be possible to make jewelry with Venetia beads as the tradition, retracing the movements made for hundreds of years by “impiraresse”. The profession of “impiraresse” (literally “infilzaperle”) was exclusively feminine, consisted in the creation of necklaces and jewels by inserting small glass seed beads called “conterie”.
Marisa Convento in the “Venetiam Dream” boutique is able to keep alive an ancient craft practiced now by very few hands, but with a touch of contemporaneity, finding the perfect mix between past and present. The workshop will allow creatives to try out a traditional technique and invent new items.
