Yael Friedman is a jewelry designer working in her self-maintained studio in Israel. In the last 25 years, Friedman has been designing contemporary jewelry. Her work was displayed in galleries worldwide. Friedman started her professional career as a graphics designer, graduating from Vital School for the Graphic arts in Tel-Aviv. After a few years, she realized that three-dimensional objects are much more interesting to her, and decided to explore working with metal. She has self-taught herself techniques of traditional jewelry. Realizing that jewelry design is becoming central part of her creative activities, she reinforced her technical skills by studying in the Revere Academy (San Francisco, USA). She complemented these technical studies with formal art and design degrees from Bezalel Academy in Jerusalem (Israel’s premier academic art institute) graduating with a B.F.A. in Jewelry Design and a M.Ds. in Industrial Design.
Three women Ring

Three Women Ring is a continuation on my research of human body and relations.
The ring is combined of three Brass women figurines that the wearer needs to assemble. The act of assemblage symbolizes the relationship between three generations. The complexity of these relations is expressed through the connection of three individual figurines into one cohesive whole, resulting in a tight bond with the strength to withstand pressure from both inside and out.
